Current location:Keio Plaza Hotel, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
Current mood: hungry

In the words of Nagayan: "Shinjuku-eki made~♪ JR minami-guchi~♪"
So, if you can't tell from the subject title--I took an excursion to Shinjuku station yesterday!

After our morning meetings, my roomate and I decided to go out on the town and look for cheap but good food. We wanted to eat at this famous curry restaurant chain called "Coco Ichiban Curry-ya", so I looked online and saw there was one in Shinjuku station, not a ten minute walk from the hotel.

We got to the station shortly, and realized we had NO idea where to go XD The station is HUGE--THOUSANDS of people walking around, tons of entrances and exits, places you can't go without tickets, etc etc. If you don't know exactly where you're going, you're gonna be really lost!

...So we were lost XD

We took pics at the Southern Entrance, and after spending a good 20 minutes searching for the mysterious "West Entrance" we finally asked at one of the Q&A stations, and they actually didn't think there WAS one in the station _o_ They asked around and finally told us there might be one on the other side and directed us that way. After another 20 minutes of searching and asking a nice station officer if he knew, we gave up and decided to try another place we'd passed that looked good.

And it was DELICIOUS. Best curry I've ever had, hands down <--as you can see, I'm pretty easy to please XD With full bellies, we finally got tickets and hopped a Yamanote line train to SHI-BU-YAAAAA~

Shibuya was even MORE amazing, so crowded and trendy. Everyone walking down the road looked like they had stepped off the pages of a magazine--guess that's Tokyo though~

We went the wrong way at first, and finally found that store that all TeniMyu fans seek: GAIN :DDDDDD

And there....we met......
KATOU "GAKU" MANABU :OOOOOO

I met GAKU, people. GAKU. The guy must LIVE in Gain, I swear--first scribblefish, and now me?! WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO MEET THESE GUYS THIS EASILY. He was much less annoying in person, and while I hold a deep shuddering sensation within me, he was hilarious to tease and thrilled to talk to me.

We wandered back to the hotel then, tired and fulfilled. Best. Day. In Tokyo. YET.
